The Excess Casualty claim unit is a dedicated staff of experienced adjusters who directly handle the majority of claims from umbrella or high layer excess policies written by the Travelers Excess Casualty business unit.
Our claim specialists are highly experienced and well positioned to handle some of your company's most difficult and complex claims that may pose a substantial exposure to you and to Travelers. Our proactive approach in dealing with the primary and/or underlying carriers helps to recognize exposures in a timely manner and minimize the impact of volatile claims.
We handle:
- All umbrella and excess liability claims that come from the Specialty Excess Umbrella underwriting structure written through retail brokers
- All umbrella and excess liability claims that come from the Excess & Surplus Lines from wholesale brokers.
- All large buffer business (e.g., Self-Insured Retention policies) from the Excess & Surplus Lines.
