Debra Weiser
Debra Weiser is the Senior Vice President and Head of Field Operations for Travelers Excess Casualty. Debra was Vice President, Claim Consultant for the unsupported mono-line umbrella divisions since joining the company in 2001. Debra spent the past 15 years with Chubb and Son, Inc. in various management positions within the Claims Department. She is a graduate of Boston University with a B.S. in International Business.
John Platt
John Platt is the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer of Travelers Excess Casualty. John joined the company after 20 years with CIGNA in their Honolulu, San Francisco and Chicago offices. Over the years, he has held positions ranging from Senior Underwriter to Regional Vice President. John has expertise in E&S excess and umbrella, E&S property, package, auto and workers compensation.
Michele Feldman
Michele Feldman is the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer of Travelers Excess Casualty. Joining the company in May 2005, Michele brings over 29 years of primary, excess and reinsurance experience. Most recently she spent 27 years in the reinsurance industry holding Vice President Positions in both facultative and treaty areas. Michele graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York with a B.A. in English.
John Tsourmas
John Tsourmas is the National Underwriting Officer for Travelers Excess Casualty. John spent over 11 years with Chubb and Son, Inc. He most recently was the Casualty Claim Manager for Chubb’s thirteen-state Northern Zone based in Chicago. His 18 years of casualty claim experience began as a casualty claim trainee with Cigna in 1987 after graduating from DePaul University with a Marketing and Management major.
Ed Randolph
Ed Randolph is the 2nd Vice President and claim consultant working with our underwriters on underlying claim management, individual exposure analysis and emerging liability trends. Ed spent over 11 years with Chubb and Son, Inc. in various multi line management positions. He most recently was the Casualty Claim Manager for Chubb’s eleven-state Southern Zone based in Atlanta. His 22 years of casualty claim experience began as a casualty claim trainee with Cigna in 1983 after graduating from Shaw University with a Marketing and Management major.
Christy Olson
Christy Olson is the 2nd Vice President of actuarial support for Travelers Excess Casualty. She joined the company in November 2002 following a two-year assignment in London where she was Syndicate Actuary for The St. Paul Syndicate Management's Non-marine Reinsurance Syndicate. Prior to her time in London, Christy worked in a variety of actuarial positions for healthcare facilities. She is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Christy graduated from Boston University with a degree in mathematics.
Michael R. Cresto
Michael R. Cresto is the Regional Vice President for the Midwest Region. Michael joined the company in 2003, as a managing director in Chicago. He has over 20 years of industry experience including American Home and AON Corp., where he was a Vice President, responsible for marketing primary and excess casualty in Aon's Risk Management Division.
Jennifer Encarnacion
Jennifer Encarnacion is the Regional Vice President of the Metro Region, which includes New York City, New Jersey and Westchester. Jennifer started her career as a casualty underwriter at Aetna Insurance. She then worked at Fireman’s Fund in umbrella for eight years before joining St. Paul Travelers. She was most recently the managing director overseeing SEU’s relationship with Marsh in the New York City office.
Biju Joy
Biju Joy is the Regional Vice President for the Northeast Region. Biju joined Travelers in 2002 as an Assistant Vice President for Gulf Insurance. Biju has 16 years of industry experience and has worked for Atlantic Mutual, AIG and Fireman’s Fund in various underwriting and management positions. Biju graduated from Stonybrook University in 1987.
Brian Mullahy
Brian Mullahy is the Regional Vice President of our newly created Countrywide National Programs Region. Brian joined St. Paul Travelers in 2002 and has more than 15 years of industry experience and has held positions within Liberty Mutual and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, where he was a sales manager for the commercial group department. He has been acting as Specialty Excess & Umbrella’s Center of Excellence for Program business since May 2004, and was the managing director of our Long Island office.
Ray Parenti
Ray Parenti is the Regional Vice President of the Northeast Region. Ray began his career in 1988 as a commercial casualty underwriter with the Aetna Insurance Company in Philadelphia. He has held management positions in Umbrella and Excess with AIG, Zurich and Kemper. He joined SEU in February 2003 as the managing director of the Philadelphia office.
Barby Reece
Barby Reece is the Regional Vice President for the South Central region. Since joining the company in February 2003. Previously, Barby held various positions at Kemper including Vice President of Kemper's Excess Casualty for the Southern Territory. Her career also includes positions at AIG as well as both agency and broker positions. Barby attended the University of Texas at Arlington.
David Usher
David Usher is the Regional Vice President for the Southeast region. David brings to the company more than 20 years of excess and umbrella experience. Prior to joining the company, he held management positions with Chubb, Kemper, and most recently, AIG, where he served as Regional Middle Market Umbrella Manager. David earned his degree in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Georgia.
Larry Muse
Larry Muse is the Regional Vice President for the Western region. Larry brings to the company more than 25 years of industry experience including marketing and underwriting excess casualty products. Prior to joining the company in May of 2006, he held a management position with AIG, where he served as the Excess Casualty Branch Manager in Denver. Larry earned his degree from the University of Colorado where he is still active in volunteerism in his spare time.
