Innovative
These first-in-the-industry vehicles were developed
as a result of lessons learned from Hurricane Andrew,
which devastated parts of Florida in 1992. The vehicles
were designed by members of Travelers Catastrophe
Response Team and custom-built by Winnebago in Forest
City, Iowa.
State-of-the-art
Travelers Mobile Claim Headquarters have everything
required to process claims in the midst of chaos:
onboard computers and databases, printers, photocopiers,
cell phones, fax machines - even two generators
to restore electricity when the power goes out.
Immediate service
Vehicles are ready to be dispatched at a moment's
notice. Once the vehicles are deployed, in many
cases we can provide a customer with a personalized
credit/debit card for instant access to cash and
point-of-service buying power.

Catastrophe response services
Travelers Catastrophe Response Unit is dedicated
to protecting your homes, cars and businesses in
the event of any weather emergency 24 hours a day,
365 days a year. Put simply, Travelers Claim Services
makes sure we're ready to provide instant, local
response when our customers need it the most.
Initial response teams
Our initial response teams are composed of our most
experienced claim professionals from property and
automobile claim service centers. Not only are they
on call around the clock, they can be at a catastrophe
site within 24 hours. Meanwhile, our full-time management
team researches weather patterns, news, and current
events to allocate resources even before a catastrophe
occurs.
Catastrophe response vehicles
The highlight of our nationally recognized catastrophe
response services is our fleet of custom-built mobile
claim offices. These Mobile Claim Headquarters
allow us to serve customers in storm ravaged areas
within hours. The Travelers team is often the first
sign of hope people and businesses see in the midst
of devastating circumstances.
Our catastrophe response vehicles were designed to
be self-contained so that they can operate in places
without electricity. Each one of our Mobile Claim
Headquarters contains two generators, five claim
service workstations, computers, printers, fax machines
and supplies necessary to instantly process claims
in the heart of a natural disaster. Claim experts
working from the vehicles have access to all the
information they need to facilitate claim settlement,
including: loss reports, coverage information and
adjusters' notes. Travelers Catastrophe Response
Unit combines dedicated claim professionals with
the most advanced technology to help provide immediate
service to our customers after a loss.
