Travelers Environmental Claim department deals with emerging litigation issues on a daily basis. Environmental Claim assistant account executives are responsible for gathering, researching and analyzing complex loss data. They work closely with clients, medical and technical specialists, and legal professionals to resolve coverage issues, investigate claims and negotiate settlements.

Program Components

Environmental Claim assistant account executives have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business, because claim file management responsibilities begin as soon as new employees demonstrate required skills and competencies.

Training and Development

Assistant account executives participate in a three-month, formal training program that combines classroom instruction with independent study. Practical training, designed to give trainees hands-on experience and confidence, is an integral part of the program. Personal development is ongoing with regular opportunities to participate in legal, medical and technical seminars.

New assistant account executives are also encouraged to participate in the Environmental Claim department’s mentoring program. This one-on-one mentoring opportunity provides participants with career guidance, as well as valuable insights into current business issues and case law.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess superior analytical ability, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
  • In addition, a strong record of academic achievement with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or greater and work experience are also required
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
