Your Benefits Options

  • Group Benefits: Travelers Canada provides medical, dental, health spending account, and basic and optional life insurance coverage.
  • Pension Plan: To make your pension elections, you will be offered a choice of investment funds and you decide how to invest the contributions that the Company makes to the Pension Plan on your behalf. The Travelers Canada Pension Plan is an important part of your overall retirement savings. All full-time employees are eligible participants in the Pension Plan. The pension plan is funded 100 percent by Travelers Canada and has a company matching contribution of up to four percent. Additional information about enrollment will be provided once you begin work.
  • Savings Plan: The Savings Plan is comprised of four accounts -Employee Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Spousal Group RRSP, Employee Profit Sharing Plan (EPSP)and Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP). Participation in the Savings Plan is optional. If you choose to join, you can earn additional contributions from the Company. Additional information about enrollment will be provided once you begin work.
  • Personal Time Off and Leaves: Vacation, sick and floater days are combined into a single Paid Time Off (PTO) bank, designed to give you more flexibility in using your PTO. We understand that employees' needs may differ and Travelers provides flexibility to meet personal and business needs through a number of leave options, including maternity.
  • Education Assistance and Professional Development: To assist you with your career and professional development we provide education assistance and numerous leadership, coaching, and internal and external professional development programs.
  • Workplace Initiatives: We provide an employee referral program, numerous employee discounts and an employee assistance program.

  • Pay for Performance: Employees are rewarded for their individual job performance (skill development, project assignments and meeting overall job expectations) through our Pay for Performance program. Your talent and hard work will be recognized through our competitive “pay for performance” philosophy. Bonuses are paid out at the end of the fiscal year, based on business revenue and operating profit results.
