Congratulations on your decision to join Travelers Canada! You likely have many questions – where to go on your first day, how to enroll in your benefits or what your co-workers will be like. We hope to answer some of your questions below. You also will receive plenty of information from our recruitment team and your manager.
Enrolling in Your Benefits
At Travelers Canada, you’re eligible for a comprehensive suite of benefits. And all new employees are eligible for these benefits beginning the first day of employment, allowing them to focus on learning the business, instead of worrying about benefits coverage.
You’ll have up to 31 days from your hire date to enroll in your benefits. Benefits are effective retroactive to your date of hire. You will have the opportunity to enroll in our benefits program once you start.
Orientation
We recognize your success at Travelers begins on day one. We strive to give new employees the tools and resources they need to become effective members of our team from their first day on the job.
During your first week of employment at Travelers Canada, you will review an introduction presentation to learn more about your company and how you fit into our overall structure.
In the orientation presentation, you’ll learn about:
- Employee policies
- Our company
- Who’s who
- Travelers’ locations
- Our businesses
- Benefits enrollment
- And more!
You also will meet with your manager to learn more about your role, the business unit you’ve joined and any training plans specific to your position. Your manager will assign you a buddy who will assist you with additional department and position-specific information. Your manager will provide additional details once you’ve arrived.
