While it may not seem exciting on the outside, insurance is much more interesting once you begin to explore it. It’s an industry with enormous possibilities and many fields of expertise. Butch, Product Manager, Navy
I applied for that Information Technology Leadership Development Program (ITLDP) at Travelers because I wanted the opportunity to learn in a rotational program. When I transitioned from the military, I wasn’t sure what kind of job was the best fit for me in corporate America. A rotation program helped me try a bunch of different things. I also wanted the opportunity to lead others, which was an essential part of the ITLDP. It was a good opportunity for me to begin using the skills I learned in the military in corporate America. Tosha, Field Investigator, Air Force
As a field investigator in Travelers’ Special Investigative Unit, I conduct investigations to detect fraud on claims against the company, providing investigative expertise to limit exposure and protect company assets. I enjoy this position because I am part of a team doing their best to detect, deter and defeat insurance fraud. Plus, this position provides the opportunity for me to solve puzzles, pursue a lead until I reach a guaranteed dead end and use the skills I gained as a criminal investigator in the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
