Insurance Operations Internship Program

Travelers’ Insurance Operations Internship Program is a new program that provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training and learn about the many opportunities available in the Insurance Operations field.

Interns will have the chance to apply their business skills along with their problem-solving and leadership abilities to work in projects in areas such as Underwriting Support, Project Management, Business Analysis, Process Engineering, Risk Management and Information Technology.

Positions are available beginning in May or early June for 10 to 12 weeks.

Requirements

If you have a career interest in applying your operations and acumen to real-life business problems, and have a preferred overall GPA of 3.2 or greater, we encourage you to explore the tremendous opportunities that this internship program has to offer.

Additional qualifications desired are as follows:

  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Demonstrates communication, collaboration and leadership ability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Change agent
  • Initiative and motivation to succeed
  • Demonstrates self-awareness
  • Involvement in school organizations and activities
  • Related work experience, including internships, is preferred
  • Must be able to show eligibility to work on a full-time basis in the United States within three days of employment

Locations

Positions available in Hartford, Conn. and Saint Paul, Minn. Students who do not live within a commutable distance to Hartford or Saint Paul may also be eligible for housing.
