Savings and Retirement Plans

Travelers offers both a pension and a 401(k) program. Eligible participants are automatically enrolled in both plans. The pension plan is funded 100 percent by Travelers. The 401(k) program includes pre-tax and Roth options and has a company matching contribution of up to 5 percent.

At Travelers, our compensation programs are designed to attract, motivate and retain the best people that can help achieve the Company’s business goals. We believe strongly in linking compensation to company, market, business unit and individual performance. An employee’s compensation package could be made up of the following elements, depending on the employee’s level and responsibility:
