Actuarial and Analytics Leadership Development Summer Internship Program

The Actuarial and Analytics Leadership Development Summer Internship Program provides qualified students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program an excellent opportunity to gain business experience, receive valuable actuarial and analytics training, and learn first-hand about the many opportunities available in the property casualty industry. Interns have challenging assignments that utilize and develop their technical skills as well as their overall business knowledge.

Internship components

  • Business overviews, speaker forums and career development workshops
  • Exposure to all levels of management
  • Formal mentoring program
  • Collaboration and networking opportunities with other development program participants
  • Intern-run committees
  • Competitive hourly rate


  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater
  • Motivation to succeed
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Extracurricular involvement on campus or in the community
  • Demonstrated leadership experiences/skills

  • Actuarial science
  • Computer science
  • Economics
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Statistics
  • Other analytic majors will also be considered


Positions are available in Hartford, Connecticut, and Saint Paul, Minnesota, beginning in May or early June and last approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Subsidized apartments are available for interns who live beyond a commutable distance.
