Click Play for Introduction to Small Business Advocacy

Given the importance of small businesses to the national economy, especially as a driver for creating and sustaining jobs, the Travelers Institute believes public policies should encourage entrepreneurship. As such, we have launched a small business advocacy project designed to promote an atmosphere that facilitates small business success through the following measures:

  • Increase awareness and understanding of the impact unnecessarily burdensome regulations have on small businesses
  • Generate possible solutions to small business regulatory challenges
  • Enhance small business viability through risk management and disaster planning practices to improve the odds of survival in the wake of natural and man-made catastrophes as well as day-to-day accidents.

Hear from small business owners and advocates on the impact government regulations are having on small businesses' ability to grow and create jobs.
