Jim Gustin is a Property Technical Director with Travelers Risk Control, and leads the Property Learning and Development team. His expertise is in property risk control, fire protection, catastrophe and natural disasters. With over three decades of industry experience, Jim has been Travelers “go-to” source for weather-related property risks for many years. In addition to his roles within Travelers Risk Control, Jim has also been deployed on Travelers CAT (catastrophe) duty, helping customers through the claim process. He also represents Travelers as a member of the Commercial Lines Committee at the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) and is a Principal Member on the Technical Committee for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 33, Standard for Spray Application Using Flammable or Combustible Materials, and NFPA 34, Standard for Dipping, Coating, and Printing Using Flammable or Combustible Liquids.
