COVID-19: State Required Notifications

Some states require specific billing relief notifications to be posted, and those are listed below.

Oregon

For Oregon insureds who have COVID-19-related financial hardship, a one-time 60-day grace period is available to pay any past-due premiums from the March 25 through September 29, 2020, time period. U.S. Business Insurance and Bond & Specialty Insurance customers must contact us to request the one-time grace period. We will not charge interest, late fees or penalties for past-due premiums during the one-time grace period. Should you have questions, or wish to set up special billing arrangements, please see below:

For U.S. Business Insurance and Bond & Specialty Insurance customers: Contact us at 1.800.252.2268.

For U.S. Personal Insurance customers: There is no need to call if your past due premium is $10 or more. This billing relief is being provided automatically and you will have 12 months to make payments. If you have questions, please call 1.800.842.5075.

Washington, D.C.

For Washington, D.C., Travelers had offered a grace period for customers who experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 to pay premiums for the duration of the designated public health emergency. During that time period, we suspended cancellation and nonrenewal of policies due to nonpayment. We also waived installment, late payment and reinstatement fees. Late payments were not considered in any future premium calculation.

Travelers will continue to allow premium payments that were due during the designated public health emergency time period to be paid in 12 monthly installments beginning one month after the designated public health emergency ended.

Please contact a Travelers billing representative if you would like to discuss your specific billing arrangements.
