What to expect from the litigation process

Learning you’re the subject of litigation can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face the challenge alone. Our experienced legal representation is dedicated to protecting you and/or your business.

Legal matters like this can take some time to resolve, but your attorney will be in touch to explain the process and let you know what will be needed from you in the future.

Here’s an outline of what you can expect next:

First contact

Once we’ve identified the best resource for your case, your attorney will contact you with information about what to expect throughout your case. Your attorney will let you know if any additional details or documentation are required when they speak with you. You should wait to hear from your attorney before you spend time collecting any information.

Your initial consultation

During your initial consultation, your attorney will call you to discuss your perspective of the event, answer your questions and learn how you prefer to stay in touch. They’ll also let you know if they need you to take any additional actions.
This is a great opportunity to connect with your legal team and learn more about the process.

Your case plan

After you’ve had your consultation, you'll receive initial analysis of your case, including information about what your attorney has learned, their strategy moving forward and an assessment of the situation.

Staying involved

As the case progresses, your attorney will need your help with the process, and you'll receive regular updates. You can always reach out with questions.

Remember, you are not alone in this process. Your attorney is your advocate, working to protect your interests and achieve the best possible outcome.
