Harnessing Psychology, Tech and Innovation to Combat Distracted Driving

More than 37,000 people died in U.S. motor vehicle crashes in 2017, including 1,179 in Ohio. On top of that, more than 2.7 million people were injured nationally − nearly 7,000 every day. Distracted driving is one important factor contributing to roadway collisions today and it constitutes a serious and preventable health threat. Attendees explored insights into human behavior, technological innovations, advances in auto safety and other developments that revealed promising approaches to combating distracted driving and saving lives.

Presented by the Travelers Institute, University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner III Center for Insurance and Risk Management and Gamma Iota Sigma.
