The Travelers Championship – There Is Only One

Travelers Championship: The PGA TOUR’s Only Signature Event in the Northeast

June 22-28, 2026

An unforgettable tournament with a greater purpose

Each June in New England, the Travelers Championship takes center stage as one of the PGA TOUR’s most beloved events. The tournament features competition from the world’s best golfers and showcases the strong commitment of our company and employees to the communities where we live and work.

Drawing tens of thousands of fans to Connecticut and reaching viewers in 200+ countries, it’s a celebration of elite golf, charitable giving, community building and unforgettable moments – on and off the course.

Golf that gives back – making a difference every year

Since Travelers became title sponsor in 2007, the tournament has generated tens of millions of dollars for nonprofits throughout New England, along with millions more in economic activity for Connecticut. All net proceeds from the event go to charity – meaning every ticket, souvenir and snack purchased, every clutch shot and every volunteer hour helps fund essential programs for people in need.

This larger mission is what connects the tournament so closely to our company’s culture. Travelers employees are highly engaged, contributing thousands of volunteer hours and making up nearly half the tournament’s volunteer force.

The spirit of generosity and engagement surrounding the Travelers Championship makes it more than a sporting event – it’s an inspirational week where world-class golf meets real-world impact. This sense of shared purpose has touched thousands of lives across New England by supporting education, healthcare, housing and more. And everyone – fans, golfers, volunteers and staff – plays a role in making it happen.

One mile to greatness

The Travelers Championship is often considered one of the top events on the PGA TOUR because the tournament generates excitement from the first drive to the final putt. But the closing stretch is when legends are made. Jordan Spieth’s walk-off bunker shot (2017), Harris English’s eight-hole playoff win (2021) and Scottie Scheffler’s sudden-death triumph (2024) are some of the most talked-about moments in recent PGA TOUR history.

Holes 15–18 demand composure and precision, with water-lined fairways, bold approaches and greens that can flip the leaderboard in an instant. This nearly one-mile journey is where momentum shifts, heroes emerge and legacies are secured.

The Umbrella at 15 ½ - A shot for charity

During the tournament’s Tuesday practice round, pros can win $10,000 – donated by Travelers – for the charity of their choice by getting the first hole-in-one or closest to the pin on The Umbrella at 15 ½. Located between holes 15 and 16, The Umbrella is a 40-foot-wide floating green in the shape of the Travelers Umbrella logo. A player and fan favorite, the iconic hole is a friendly challenge that brings fun and purpose together. Golf Digest gave it high praise, stating: “All due respect to (TPC) Sawgrass, the tour’s true island green resides at (TPC) River Highlands.”
