Travelers supports initiatives that improve academic and career success for underrepresented youth, specifically targeted at public school children in grades five through 12, students in transition to post-secondary education, and in the post-secondary learning environment.
Travelers addresses community and corporate needs for a skilled workforce, sustained economies, and better quality of life through these focus areas:
Education Equity -- Travelers supports organizations that are working on a systemic level to reduce academic achievement gaps and enable educational opportunity for low-income and minority students.
Travelers and the Travelers Foundation have provided more than $59 million since 2009 to help address academic success, increase career preparedness and reduce barriers to high education.
Travelers’ signature education program, Travelers EDGE® (Empowering Dreams for Graduation and Employment) provides a holistic approach to career readiness. Through partnerships with colleges, universities and community-based programs, Travelers EDGE increases the pipeline of underrepresented students who complete bachelor’s degrees and are prepared for a career at Travelers or within the insurance and financial services industry.
