It can help you understand driving behaviors including where the car is driven, what time of day, average speed and even if there is rapid braking and acceleration. You can even set guidelines on safe driving behaviors and opt to receive alerts if the car is driven outside these safe driving guidelines.
The IntelliDrive Program is available to Travelers auto insurance customers, residing in a state where IntelliDrive is offered, who have one or more cars compatible with the IntelliDrive device.

Yes, all compatible vehicles can be enrolled in the IntelliDrive program. Most cars manufactured after 1996 are compatible; however, there are some incompatible vehicles, including, but not limited to: vehicles older than 1996, hybrids, electric, and several heavy duty and large trucks.
There are two ways to save with IntelliDrive
1. Simply by signing up (Sign on discount). When you sign up for IntelliDrive , you can receive an immediate discount off of your first term vehicle premium
2. By driving less (Low Mileage Discount). When your policy renews, you could save on the premium for each of your low mileage vehicles. With our graduated low mileage discount, the less you drive, the more you can save!

IntelliDrive discounts are applied at the vehicle premium level and do not apply to all coverages or vehicles. Individual savings may vary and are not guaranteed. Terms and conditions apply. The IntelliDrive device must report data for at least 45 days between device installation and the generation of the policy continuation during the first term of enrollment or 90% of the days between the policy effective date and the generation of the policy continuation offer during subsequent terms of IntelliDrive enrollment.
We use the average weekly miles the enrolled vehicle is driven, derived from the mileage data we collect for all the weeks we've measured your mileage, up to 52 weeks maximum.

3. After your first trip, your device will start transmitting data. You can log into the secure website to see your driving behaviors, projected annual mileage, and coaching tips.
The device plugs into the car's on-board diagnostic port. This is the same port that professionals use for vehicle diagnostics, and is sometimes referred to as the OBDII port.
You will see a blinking light. This reflects that the device is transmitting data from the car.
Please remove and install the device again. If this does not fix it you should contact customer service at the number provided with your device.
Please contact your Travelers agent or Travelers representative to enroll the new vehicle in IntelliDrive or to transfer your device to a different vehicle on your policy.
If you move the device to a different car without notifying customer support, the IntelliDrive program will not transmit mileage data or allow you to view driving reports on your online dashboard.
Contact your Travelers agent or service representative. He or she will remove your car from the program and provide instructions on returning the device.
You can use the original box to return the device. If you have misplaced the original packaging, we can provide you with a return box.
To qualify for the sign-on discount, you need to install the device within 60 days of enrollment.

Travelers may use IntelliDrive information to service your policies, and prevent fraud. Travelers may use IntelliDrive Program data for research purposes; however, only your vehicles' mileage and your participation in the program will affect your vehicles' premium.
Travelers may become legally obligated to provide data to law enforcement investigating the cause of an accident, in response to a subpoena, or as otherwise required by law. If we are required to provide data to a third-party, we may use the data for claim purposes.
