Distracted Driving a Concern, but Americans Worry More About the Behavior of Others

There is a gap in how Americans perceive the threat of other distracted drivers compared to their own behavior. While 89% of survey respondents are concerned about getting into an auto accident due to others’ distracted driving, 51% are not concerned about their own distracted driving causing an auto accident. One in five respondents are not concerned at all about the 16- to 21-year-old drivers in their households getting into an accident due to their own distracted driving.
