COVID-19: State Required Notifications
Some states require specific billing relief notifications to be posted, and those are listed below.
New Jersey
For New Jersey customers who are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, Travelers is offering a 90-day grace period to pay premiums. This grace period will be applied to all installment payments, including renewal down payments. Policies will not be canceled due to nonpayment, late fees will not be charged and late payments will not be reported to credit agencies from March 26-July 30, 2020. In addition, late payments will not be considered in any future premium calculation. Premiums due during the grace period may be paid over the remainder of the current policy term or a 12-month span, whichever time frame is longer. We are providing billing relief for individuals and small businesses who can demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19. We are suspending cancellation, conditional renewal and nonrenewal of policies due to nonpayment through July 6, 2020. During this time period, we will not charge interest, late fees or penalties and will not report late or nonpayments to credit agencies. Premium payments due during this time period may be paid in 12 monthly installments once the hardship period ends.

Washington, D.C.
For Washington, D.C., customers who are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, Travelers is offering a grace period to pay premiums for the duration of the designated public health emergency. During this time, we are suspending cancellation and nonrenewal of policies due to nonpayment. We are also waiving installment, late payment and reinstatement fees. Late payments will not be considered in any future premium calculation. Premium payments due during this time period may be paid in 12 monthly installments beginning one month after the designated public health emergency ends.
